Great local pub, fab beer, great food, pool and darts!
Have eaten a few times here and being vegetarian I'm always a bit sceptical about finding something interesting on the menu. This pub most definitely did not disappoint, every time. Stunning food and all superbly made. Lovely staff and had a good laugh with landlady and land Lord. Will return many times yet.
Went there for Sunday Dinner on Dec 30th 2018. Great service. Friendly staff. Had the Pork Belly. Was fantastic. Recommended.
The Laughing Dog a great little pub with excellent food (the steak was so tasty) and the lemon tart was perfect. If you're in the area I heartily recommend you call in You won't be disappointed
Arrived early for Sunday lunch with my family. The lady serving us was cold and not particularly friendly. The roast dinners were OK, the meat was dry for my turkey and the gravy was thin. Vegetables were perfectly cooked. Unfortunately the pub itself was unappealing. The windowsills were dirty and the decor very tired and dated. We were left for almost 40mins waiting for food with no communication as to why and no sign of anyone during this time. Tried to make polite conversation when we arrived, but you could tell the lady really wasn't interested in us as customers. Disappointed as all reviews seemed so good on here. What a shame and a wasted opportunity as we would definitely have eaten here again otherwise.
