I share none of the negative comments I have seen in some reviews. My partner and I have been there a few times, for Sunday lunch, and for a tapas-themed New Year's Eve meal.On each occasion the staff were friendly and attentive, and the food good, plentiful and good value. An extra bonus for us is that the pub is dog-friendly, and the staff positively welcomed our dog.My advice is, if you don't like genuine, down-to-earth people, or pubs that don't pretend to be something they're not, then stay away.We will be back there soon !
Sunday Carvery is a must. Best selection of any I've ever seen & absolutely gorgeous.
Christmas dinner was ruined everyone was crammed in had to keep moving for other tables to be served one man spoke to us WITH an awfull attitude no excuse me just can you move I need to get to the other tables no body could get of the table without every body moving the dinner was cold they try to charge us another 180 we didn't have time to eat our food because we felt rushed it felt like the wanted us out of there as soon as we got in there this is the experience of 7 adults also over heard another couple complaining and they said that they will never return there and neither will we

Friendly pub but Steak was tougher than my shoe and chips were probably better when first cooked at lunch time than when warmed up early evening
