Run by great people and a lovely log fire in the lounge.
This is a beautiful hotel. All the roons are bright & very clean. The staff are very friendly & nothing is too much trouble. I spent 5 days over Christmas & all the little extras left on the bar for us made it feel homely. There's lots of games & jigsaws to do. Also the most beautiful lifelike cuddly baby doll waiting to be cooed over. Would definitely recommend this place as a welcome holiday.
Love the building, great staff, room was right up my street. The best scramble egg I have ever had. The rest of the breakfast was so nice I got more at no extra cost either. I recommend this place.
Quite grand but somewhat faded. Ask them to turn the heating on in your room before you get there. Good breakfast. Plenty hot water.
Shabby hotel. Thread bare carpets in public areas. The lift is long overdue for a repaint and there was a smell of gas in it at each use. We paid 115.00 for b and b. Breakfast was nothing to write home about. It was buffet style, no problem there but the cooked English did not have mushrooms or tomatoes or hash browns, just bacon, cheap awful sausages, over cooked fried eggs and bake beans, toast. Room ok. Over priced stay. Great location though.
