Very pleased with this home!
I dont know which care home the reviewer Rachel Trafford is referring to, but the Spa was anything but what she had stated when my now late Aunt was living just months prior. I would be interested to know if the reviewer, who appears to live in London, actually came down to visit her father during his stay, or if she is simply a sour apple who likes blindly posting nasty comments? I worked in retail for years, and there is always someone like her who just enjoys complaining and exaggerating about situations. Hats off to those who are on the receiving end and remain professional.In terms of my actual review my aunt had lived at the Spa for just over 3 years, the place was fab; medication always given on time and was asked if wanted pain relief; the staff were jolly which is a rarity in care homes; and most importantly my aunt was happy for her final years. Cant say enough positive things about the staff I could always go home feeling at ease knowing that she was receiving good care. Best wishes to all those at the Spa past, present and future!
A lovely place with lovely warm welcoming staff, my children's Great Grandma was there for a couple of years and I couldn't fault the care. Lovely
My Dad has been here for about three weeks now. It has been one problem after another. Medication has been sporadic, staff have been unsure what medication they were administering even on one occasion. His washing has been taken but not returned when he needs it, and his newspaper which is his lifeline sometimes when he cannot go out, is frequently late. He was also moved rooms, due to a gentleman who was shouting most nights and keeping him awake. The bed that he slept in in the new room had no sheet and he slept on a plastic mattress protector. I'm upset with the "care" that he is receiving there...very sad
